Membership in the Friends of the British Columbia Archives is open to everyone and covers the year from September to August. Members receive free admission to all FBCA talks and events and a quarterly newsletter featuring articles about FBCA activities, the British Columbia Archives and its holdings, hints for researchers, and planned activities at the Archives. Plus, members help to preserve the documentary heritage of British Columbia. FBCA members are also eligible for a special reduced rate for a one-year subscription to British Columbia History magazine ($20.00), as well as a 15% discount on photocopying fees at the BC Archives.
To join, complete the form below and then submit your membership fees/donations via cheque or e-transfer. Once you have submitted your form and payment/donation, you will receive a receipt and membership card in the mail. Alternatively, you can attend one of our upcoming events and sign up on the spot!
Current/former members can also renew their membership by completing the form below and submitting payment via cheque or e-transfer. Current members can also renew their British Columbia History magazine subscription using the form below. New to the friends? Prorated memberships in the FBCA are available from February 1st to June 1st each year, at a cost of $10 for all individual membership categories; $35 for corporations and institutions. Prorated memberships expire on August 31st in the year of issue

Donations to the FBCA can be made by cheque or online through Canada Helps. If you wish to donate to a particular initiative, such as the Terry Reksten Memorial Fund or Indigenous Research Fund, please indicate where the funds are to be directed in the memo line of your cheque or your Canada Helps submission. The FBCA is a registered charity and we will issue you a tax receipt upon receipt of your donation. Thank-you for your support!
